The Gap was carved by the ocean from the granite rocks forming the coast and features a 50 metre drop to the ocean below. We were there during the stormy weather, as it can be seen on the picture of the coast just next to The Gap (to the right). The seven other photos show the wave surging into The Gap.

Please exercise extreme caution in the area. The coastline has a notorious record for accidents due to people slipping and being washed into the ocean by unexpected freak waves or large swells.
