Hastings Caves are located just over 100 km to the south of Hobart and are a must for every visitor. The unique feature of these caves that no coloured lights are used for illumination. Cave guided tours run every hour or so, and if you just missed one, take a Platypus Walk or have some smoked salmon and crackers platter at the café in Hastings Visitor Centre (you can also buy your tickets, souvenirs and obtain all kinds of useful information there).
