Famous Salamanca hosts numerous cafés, restaurants, boutique art galleries and shops. Saturdays are Market days on Salamanca - tents, make-shift kiosks, suspicious-looking fast food and crowds upon crowds. Salamanca markets are promoted as major tourist attraction and undobtedly, one can find something special there, but a lot of patience is required. If "European appeal" cliché is to be applied here, Salamanca is much more appealing without its markets. Please click on the image to enlarge it.
